Lingua Show in Prague, 15-16 March 2012

"Lingua Show", a major language and education fair in Prague, is taking place shortly in parallel with Jobs Expo 2012.

The two international events enjoy the patronage of the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports. The European Commission will also be present to inform visitors on the importance of foreign language skills, in particular how they can enhance job prospects in other European countries.

The programme has something to offer everyone, such as:

  • a wide range of seminars on funding opportunities, teaching methods and language learning;
  • discussions with EU translators and interpreters on job opportunities;
  • and many interactive animations, quizzes and live performances.

An average of 400,000 students, volunteers, teachers and researchers from all over Europe receive a grant every year under one of the European programmes for education, training and youth.
This number should only increase with the launch of the new programme "Erasmus for All" in 2014, recently proposed by the European Commission.
